A research project still in progress, with multiple outcomes. At present, the main output is a collection of computer-painted woven swatches released as NFTs.
A blend of tradition and contemporaneity.
The project originates from a series of hand-woven swatches produced in the studio, passing from black-and-white diagrammatic methods for representing weaving patterns, a custom software was developed to generate an infinite variety of textile designs. Although the algorithm can produce endless variations, the NFT series is capped at 250 artworks, each generated randomly at the moment of purchase. The system combines traditional patterns with more modern ones through procedural techniques, allowing for collections where each piece is unique yet part of a cohesive aesthetic.
The project it’s been extended in 2024, allowing for meters long patterns designs presented with an exhibition at Id-Exe during Milano Design Week 2024.
