The formal purity pursued by the study brings out the material properties of the products. In addition to constant research on materials and production technologies, new methods of surface appearance are explored. In this context, the "Rilievo" experimentation project is aimed at finding three-dimensional textures of the surface that can be totally integrated with the products. The "skin" of the products is also what allows interaction with the user thanks to touch and sight, can therefore convey sensations that help the objects to express themselves adding details and consistency.
This research it’s developed creating samples to test touch and sight qualities. The technologies utilized in the studio until now to create the samples are FDM 3d printing and different kinds of resin castings. For each technology and material, the peculiar production qualities are celebrated, for this reason the theme of imperfection and constrains binged by the different technologies it’s a parallel track to this work.

In the castings it’s possible to see how the bubbles of air in the resin interfere in the solidification process of the material depending on the level of stabilization. In the PLA rubber additives, some tessellation patterns and subdivisions of the surface have been studied to make the sample flexible in different ways. In the creation of 3df printed surfaces, using different measures and modifying the printer and the code, it’s been possible to alter the printing definition and tolerance to obtain a very imperfect character of extrusion and unicity of the print.
